5 Power Tips to Improve Your Productivity
1. Set your 3 priorities for the day
Setting your priorities is key to not getting off track when it comes to your goals. You see if you don’t set your priorities for yourself someone else will and you will feel like you’re fighting fires all day and come to the end of the not feeling like you have achieved much.
This will give you focus and permit you to say no to anything that doesn’t fit in with your plan for the day. Try making these priorities, actions you need to take to accomplish your goal.
When you have 3 priorities based on your goals and get them done, who will feel amazing about having achieved something with your day.
2. Avoid Technology in The Morning [Mobile – TV]
This may seem hard to do at first, but it’s all about habits. Do you find yourself reaching for your phone before you’ve even opened your eyes? Do you have the TV on in the background whilst you get ready to start your day?
These habits can all be unlearned. Do it and see how clear your day becomes. By avoiding technology, you are removing other people’s priorities and agenda from your day.
So, when you sit down and write out your priorities it will be based on what you want to achieve that day, not on what anyone else wants. Try it for seven days and see how much more you get done.
3. Develop Essential Skills
When you do anything for the first time, it is always harder than the tenth time. This is why it is important to develop key essential skills and master them. The better you are at the essentials, the more time it frees up to learn and develop other skills for your business, career, and growth.
What essential skills you ask, well here are a list of the skills you should focus on developing.
- Career Development skills including career management & negotiation skills
- Stress Management
- Time Management and Productivity
- Communication Skills
- Learning skills
4. Understand Your Resistance Triggers
Resistance is the biggest killer of dreams and reaching goals. What is resistance, it’s what stops you from taking the necessary actions to move towards your goals. Most often it shows up as procrastination. But it take’s many other ways such as every excuse and complaint you make about your life.
Your job is to figure out where in your life you have resistance, how it shows up for you and how you can combat it to get the important work you have to do, done.

5. Tackle the hardest things first.
The thing that in your mind is going to be the hardest thing to do, do it first thing in the morning. Put it on the top of your, to do list and get it done. This is commonly known as eating the frog and it’s one way to tackle resistance.
I can’t tell you how many times doing this has made the day so much more effective for me. You’ll feel like you’ve tackled the biggest monster in the room and anything else you’ve got to do is easy.
If you don’t tackle the hardest thing, you’ll be much less effective on all the tasks you’re doing cause in the back of your mind you’re focused on the fact you’ve eventually going to have to do that thing you’ve been avoiding. Don’t avoid it, tackle it.
